Three quick things to be happy about...

A holiday card from my client, Kathryn Meyer Griffith, complete with a picture of her kitty!

A holiday card from someone who's not even my client. Thank you Rebecca Shelley!

An unexpected check from Worldcon, refunding my membership fee, since I participated in the Writers Workshop this year!

Shout it out--what are you all happy about today? =)

Not holiday or book related but a real biggie for me... I got fab news from my son's doctor and now I can stop worrying!! (We mother's worry a lot, I know, but this was a worrisome thing, um hmmm.)

I'm happy that my friend got not one but two requests for partials. Yay!

I am happy about the coming Crapometer!

I am happy that I'm finally almost finished revising my third chapter (for the moment, anyway).

I am happy that I just had penne pasta with broccoli and homemade alfredo for dinner, and that unbaked cookie dough is waiting for me in the fridge.

This is going to sound odd, but I'm happy because of the rejection I received today.

The reason? It was personalized and encouraging. For that, I am grateful.

This agent wasn't you, Ms. Rappaport, but all the same, on behalf of anyone for whom you've taken the time to write a personalized rejection letter, I thank you.

I'm happy because today's mail (snail and e) contained a) no bills, b)no junk mail, and c)no rejections - it was 99% Christmas cards and 1% magazines! Yay!

I'm also happy because my Christmas shopping is almost done (i'm early this year!)

That I FINALLY finished my holiday cards and put them in the mail.

That I have a chance to revisit goals and fine tune them.

And that my car is running again.
