Mine is a silver band with pentacles and curley cues. We ended up using it because it was the first piece of jewelry he ever bought me, so it meant a lot. I knew something was going to happen with as much as you talk about your boyfriend :) Congrats!!

Oooh! I love weddings! My friend just got married on Saturday, and her ring belonged to her husband's great grandmother. I love yours, BTW. Have you found that you can't stop staring at it? When I first got my engagement ring, I was driving down the road and the sun kept catching on the diamond, and I was afraid I'd wreck because I couldn't stop looking at it.

The ring is gorgeous... and fwiw, my wedding ring isn't traditional, either. It's silver (I can't wear gold) with a garnet stone offset by onyx on either side, and Victorian-ish edging. :)

mckoala, it largely took five years because I was still finishing up college for a good portion of those. =) I took six years to get through school, and only graduated in May 2005. Chris, on the other hand, was done in May 2002.

And you know what's the fastest way to a wedding? =) Me selling more books, to pay for it! So with that thought in mind, I'm off to start the New Year raring to go.
