LIT SOUP's birthday

On April 24, 2007, LIT SOUP will be one year old! It's such a good little child, isn't it? =)

So here's my question to all of you readers out there:

To celebrate LIT SOUP's upcoming birthday, what would you like to do? Do you want special posts on topics? Do you want a contest of some sort? Do you want something else? I'm open to all options, so comment away, and tell me what you'd like to do!

I always enjoy reading your posts, so I don't have any specific suggestions. Moslty I just wanted to say how keen it is that LIT SOUP's 1st birthday is the same day as my little sister's 21st.

Oh! Oh! I love contests in which I can win something like a coffee mug or t-shirt. How's about a drawing? That way you won't have to judge anything, like essays. You already have enough work to do. When I do Cyber-Launches for my author Blog Buddies' new releases, I put the names of all the people who comment on the blog entry into a coffee can. I have a child draw out a name and, bingo, there's a winner! Everyone seems to have fun with it.

Oh! For a drawing prize, how about a soup mug (not breakable, of course) and the recipe for your favorite soup?

A contest, yeah! Cool. A critique would be a great prize. Short of that, kittens.

Ooh! Yeah, a critique would be an awesome prize, but that would involve work for you, so maybe it's not such a good idea after all. But that would be very cool. And contests are always fun. Have you seen Miss Snark's latest? I'd be interested in knowing what Dan Lazar has to say about that!

A contest would be fun.

I just read on Jodi Meadow's blog that you and she are in a bona-fide working relationship now. Congrats to you both!

Hey -- my birthday is on April 24. And so is William Shakespeare's. It's one of my claims to fame. :)

A contest with a critique as a prize...that would be worth its weight in gold to the majority of your readers, I'm sure.

Yay, happy b-day, LIT SOUP!

Hmm...contest...prize...I'll bet a lot of people would be happy with that critique prize that Jillian suggested.

We've had the lit, where's the soup? Soup recipes!

How about a contest to win a free book authored by one of your clients? Have a lovely day! :-)

Happy b-day, Lit Soup!

I think trading soup recipes would be fun, as well.

I don't usually enter contests though, because shipping to the UK, while not prohibitive, is more expensive than in the US. So while I would have fun reading the entires, unless it's a non-physical prize I won't play. :-(
