The Zoe video

Yes, it's the cat in action! Special video treat! It was taken using my digital camera; the lighting and picture quality aren't the greatest, and I do apologize for laughing towards the end. And yes, I'm the one narrating and I am fully aware of the fact that I sound silly. =)

I remember when our dog was an only child. Everywhere we'd go, "Mario" was our favorite topic of conversation. It is amazing how part of our life pets can be. Looks like Zoe has it pretty good. Enjoy it Zoe, till the kids come along... :-) Now we have 2 kids and a dog, just a dog... Ok, a very well loved, and spoiled dog, but a dog nonetheless.

Lol, Zoe's a natural.

Thanks for sharing this :).

Ridley would ignore the toy and play with the box. Just like any ungrateful child.

My cats have something similar, only not quite so fancy. I notice they won't play with anything that's shiny plastic. They do, however, love those little furry mice that rattle. And the youngest cat always chews the tail off first. 8^)

I think their favorite toys are hair ties (my hair is long and I tie in back with these) and ordinary pom poms from the craft store. It's how I taught one of them to fetch. He's so cute when he does it. He loves his pom poms.

Great video :) Zoe looks very much like my Chloe! The grooming bit at the end was priceless - cats are so much fun that way. Once they decide a toy is no longer fun, that's it *g*.

The baby's big now! It cracks me up when they go off and lay down like that, like they'd just aced a hard day's work or something.

Kitty Kerpow has a much plainer version of that, with a scratch board in the center. He loves it and goes back to it over and over and he's over a year now. It was well worth the money. We hear the ball circling in the middle of the night.

And you didn't sound silly! I took a vid of one of the horses I look after on my camera and posted it Youtube and the quality sucked but I enjoyed it and that was all I worried about.

I have a cat named Ozzie that looks nearly identical to Zoe... except a lot smaller. You should try and submit Zoe to a talent agency... if they're looking for frogs, surely they're looking for cat's too. (random Muppet quote of the day).

I cast my vote that you start a blog just for Zoe videos.

Zoe would not be a good cat to be associated with a talent agency in any way. Camera equipment is scary. New people are scary. New people wearing shoes with camera equipment? The world is ending. =)

The toy actually wasn't that expensive; only $15 at PetSmart, which considering that she has only one birthday per year and most of her other toys involve scraps of yarn, we figured was justified.

To walk in our living room you'd think we had toddlers with all the toys laying everywhere. But it's cuz we luvz our kitties. 8^)

One thing I learned about toys, though, is that if your cat gets tired of one, put it away for a while, then bring it back. It's like a whole new toy! Woo hoo! For bigger toys, like boxes they climb in or those crinkly tubes (we have one of those), just move it to a different place in the room and suddenly it's brand new again. Cats are so funny that way.

I find it nothing short of miraculous when one of our cats actually plays with a cat toy. Twist ties, milk caps and elastic hairbands are much more to their liking.

Zoe is adorable.

Very cute! I'm convinced all I need is a cat to be an author because all the real authors have cats for muses, yanno.
:o)

I'm headed to Petco today to find that toy! That is just TOO cute!

Your Zoe looks just like my Inky. Except Inky has about 10 lbs on her and the most she does during the day is move from the sofa to the back deck. I'm going to show her Zoe's video and see if it inspires her.

reminds me a bit of Christmas with little kids. You spend a fortune on a toy and they'd rather play with the box.

I hope this video means that Zoe is well again. She sounded very sick in earlier posts.
