Spam eating

If you've sent me an e-mail in the last three weeks (not a query, an e-mail to which you needed a reply), you might want to resend. Yahoo has apparently changed its spam algorithm, and I've been rescuing tons of e-mail from the Spam folder. They're getting eaten alive!

If you don't hear from me by the end of this week, please resend the e-mail.

Mine was probably eaten, then. But, I just sent you another e-mail. Thanks for the heads up! :)

I saw that you have been reading Malthus's little tract. That tract may have been the earliest science fiction--more science than fiction, but still mistaken.

Before Malthus, everyone thought that population was a good thing. Population gave a country the ability to fight wars, which gave them the ability to shove other countries around and improve themselves. Now most folks think that population is bad (with present company always excluded). Just a few years before Malthus, Adam Smith had already hit the nail on the head.
