Well, ok, I take back my comments about the mutiny in the other BSG thread.

Holy shit.

I'm not sure how to summarize how I feel about this, only to say that it is why I love the show so much.

Starbuck was back and she was bad-ass. Lee was back and got to be bad-ass too. And oh wow, I get so few Lee and Kara moments... the kiss... *swoons*.

Tigh and Adama; next week's preview worries me. I won't say more, because some people don't watch the preview, which always seemed weird to me.

But it was a good episode, a very, very good episode. I like that Baltar and Roslin were working together, despite everything. I like that they got off the ship. I loved that Adama and Tigh got to show that even though they're old men, they are old men with guts.

Zarek and Gaeta are officially both on my shit-list now.

My real question though, the one I can't figure out:

Did Apollo and Starbuck get off the ship with Roslin and Baltar? They weren't in the last scene with Adama and Tigh. Where are they?

Even though I'm worried for Tigh and Adama as well, I loved seeing them take up their weapons and showing their warrior sides. And the scene where Gaeta removes him from command was one of the best performances Edward James Olmos has given on the show. It gave me chills. I loved Tigh through this whole episode, which is saying a lot because usually I don't care for him.

The Kara/Lee stuff was great, too, and I loved that it brought back a bit of the old fighter in Lee. He's been a political figure for a while and I was worried he was going soft.

Still kind of iffy on Tyrol not being Nicky's father. He was busy dealing with the mutiny in this episode, but I would like to see some more reaction to him about that revelation. I can understand he was shocked and upset in the last episode, but it seems like now he doesn't care and has just handed the child off to Hot Dog. Didn't he have any sort of bond with the kid? I'm also wondering when/if it will ever come to life that Tory killed Cally, and what Tyrol's reaction will be to that.

Like always, I want more Helo and Athena, and it was so nice to see a bit of them. They've been underused lately.

I think they hid back inside the ship, the same way they came in. Behind one of the wire screens (Like cally did to snoop on Chief)

GAETA I despise you, 'Nuf said.

Don't you find it a little alarming that what it took to get Kara over her depression and back to her old wonderful spunky self was to shoot some guys in the head?

I thought Apollo and Starbuck were scrambling up a ladder into the back alleys of Galactica to do some more guerilla-type stuff.

It was great to see Adama and Tigh stand fast against the mutineers, but the previews are worrisome.

I think, though I'm not certain, that Apollo and Starbuck might have gone back into Galactica.

And I'm with you, it was awesome to see Starbuck and Apollo back in their fighting form. Their characters have each been hamstrung since the weekly battles that were almost clock work in the earlier seasons. These two are at their best when faced with physical, not emotional or psychological adversity.

I'm really looking forward to next week's episode, particularly that snippet in the trailer featuring Adama. That was haunting.

So crazy. I spent the entire episode telling the show "I hate you" but what I meant was "I love you."

Just an amazing job at selling this mutiny, at making it a brutal mess and really mixing it up. I want Zarek gone so bad, and while I can't feel as harshly toward Gaeta (I just can't), part of me also wants to see Old Man Adama (now with 75% more snarl!) take him down. The boy's got a death wish anyway.

And oh wow, I get so few Lee and Kara moments... the kiss... *swoons*.
Agreed! I love those two. I was stoked to see Apollo and Starbuck working together again.

I have a hard time believing the previews that Tigh is really gone, but if he is, I will be so super upset. My love for him grows with every episode.

On a separate note, is anyone else a little tired of the "The ____ was only the beginning..." take on the previews/commercials? I mean, how long can they keep that up? I mean, it's the final episodes. At some point, you gotta lose this tagline and admit that it's the end.

Yep, this was an episode that reminded me why I love the show. I actually found myself sitting up several times with the action.

You all have covered much. The only two things I'll point out are continuity things (and minor at that).

1) Roslin was reading a book WITH corners...how the heck did that happen?

2) More importantly...I watch the colonial number count. During the intro music it was 39,643 BUT when Lee and Zarek were fighting on Colonial One, the number on the board behind Lee was 39,644...I suppose they hadn't yet counted the guy in Galatica's ship's bay that Zarek had just pummeled...but, the intro had accounted for it? Weird.

I'm a nerd and should have a job as a film continuity person, but I can't help myself. It's worse when I'm editing things I've written.

Now I'm really looking forward to the rest of the episodes.

I'm still hating Gaeta....he was such a bad character pick for his role in the plot now. Oh well.

(Stranger still my verification word is dywool...very fitting for Jenny's other hobby)

That's what I remember seeing too.
