Pardon my ignorance, but what is a "nice deal"? Both of these are referred to as nice deals, so I assume that's not some way of saying good job but has an actual publishing world meaning? Thanks! and congratulations!

  2. Congratulations! What a nice birthday you're having.

  3. Lorin, it's terminology from Publisher's Marketplace and the key is as follows:

    "nice deal" $1 - $49,000 "significant deal" $251,000 - $499,000
"very nice deal" $50,000 - $99,000 "major deal" $500,000 and up
    "good deal" $100,000 - $250,000

  4. Copy and pasting screwed that up... but it is between $1000-49000 in advance money.

Lorin, I'm glad you asked that question because I didn't know either. *is enlightened*
