New agency website!

I am very pleased and proud to announce that the new and revised version of The Rappaport Agency website is live! Much credit and thanks goes to Laurel Amberdine who did all the coding, and Chrissy Ellsworth who did the graphics (and also my wonderful business card--she's for hire!).

If you see any errors, please let us know, and we'll correct them as soon as possible.

Ooh! Love the new website! The "About Us" page is my fav. The new avatar is great, Jenny! I love Jodi's bio... tricksy girls, both of you! Kippy, on the other hand, looks like a thug. He'd have to, I suppose, being a slush-cat.

Congrats, everyone! Marvellous job.

Great new look--both user friendly and aesthetically appealing.

It's wonderful to see the feline faces of Zoe and Kippy. I hope they're rewarded handsomely for their agenting endeavors. Maybe an extra furry mouse or ball of yarn? (Of course, not the ones for your special projects, Jodi.)

The website looks great! All the links I clicked on worked and I love all the pictures.

Kippy is actually a girl, and a very sweet one at that. She's declawed. =)

It's fabulous and grungy and I love it!

Looks good! I love the strong colors on your left hand column, and the rough, canvas-like edging is quite edgy.

The only small critique I have is you might want to consider adding a navigation bar on the About and Clients pages so that visitors can zip through the content without scrolling.

Looks great! Nice, simple, and streamlined, with the necessary information where we readers need it. Thanks! :-)

(It's very frustrating to find an agent website with hidden submission guidelines and info on what the agent represents.)

Lovely new site...everyone (except for the cats maybe) looks very happy to be involved :))

Kippy *does* look like a thug there, mostly because I was taking picture after picture of her, and she was getting irritated. She's actually very sweet. :)

I am quite fond of the new website. It looks fancy.

^Jodi, are you kidding? They BOTH look like thugs, lmao. Especially Zoe.

Good site, Jenny and Jodi. It's very simple. That's always a good thing in websiteland.

I think the text "some books by our clients" should be clickable to display ALl the books by the clients.

That's a nicely designed site - clear, concise and easy to get around.
I like the palette and page layout too. I didn't see any mistakes, but then I always miss my own typos two.

It looks great! Very simple layout that is easy to navigate and professional. Love the bio page, esepcially the kitties. I also like that the "Books by our clients" sidebar displays different titles on each page, rather than the same three or four throughout.

I do second P. Bradley Robb's suggestion for a navigation bar on the Clients page. And maybe add a smidgen more info on the Submissions page about the synopsis, because I could see some visitors (mainly those who don't read the blog too often) becoming confused as to whether that refers to the paragraph about the plot of your book within the query letter, or to a separate synopsis (and if so, of what length).

Looks great overall!

It's a great looking site, and I had no difficulty navigating it. I especially liked the client info, and of course, the cats.

Very nice looking website, Jenny. Congrats on getting it up and running. By the way, is that you on the WotF Honorable Mention list?

Jenny Rae Rappaport said...

Jeanne Tomlin, yep, that's me. That makes 3 HMs and one regular reject out of four times entering. I'd like to crack semifinalist...

Jeanne Tomlin said...

I'd love to crack the finalists, too! I'm with you there.

But your agency look like it's off to a great start.
