It startled me at first. I thought I'd stumbled upon someone else's blog! The new look is marvelous (not that the old one was shabby). I also think the date tabs on the side are handy.

I just put plowed through Westerfield's Uglies Series (was stoked about finishing 3 books in 12 hours but dang, turns out there's a fourth???) so the "ultra-pretty" term is currently creeping me out. I'll go with a connotation-free "beautiful."

I'm using a fancy LCD monitor set to 800 x 600 because of my vision, so the old template always showed me the blog in the middle of the page...didn't realize that wasn't the same for everyone else.
This template, actually cuts the sidebar in half for me, but I can deal with it. I figure it looks better for people with bigger vision. And I can still read my own text, etc, which is all that really matters to me.
