Blog still here...

I have received worried murmurings about the continued existence of LIT SOUP, given my last post.

The blog is going nowhere. Don't worry. I may be annoyed at #agentfail, but not at the world at large. =)

Also, I am informed the search function bar does not work, which may be an unfixable issue because of it being ported from Wordpress.

And now I'm back to work.

Well I'm glad the blog isn't going anywhere. I got worried for a second. I think I've been following you almost from the beginning.

I'm glad you are sticking around too. Don't let crabby people ruin it for the rest of us.

Glad to have you still here :)

When writers were complaining about #queryfail, I pointed that writers are far more vicious when commenting on agents and editors. I don't even want to look at #agentfail to find out how right I was....

I'm also really glad this blog isn't going anywhere. I enjoy reading it everyday (Though I rarely if never comment)! I learn so much, think your awesome (Though anyone who likes Japanese Anime/manga is awesome in my book) and am a fan of kitties (Have two myself). ^_^ Please keep up the awesomeness.

As they used to say back when, "Don't let the turkey's get you down."

I suspect you aren't hurting for queries (except, perhaps good ones) so ignore the whiners. If you think there's something you can do to improve your business practices, I'm sure you would do it.

I looked at about half the agentfails, and a lot of them sounded like people I wouldn't get along with. I think a lot of it was from people who don't want to believe they were part of the problem themselves.

Yes, there ARE bad agents. You're not one of them. And I'm very glad you're still blogging. :)

Glad you're still around (I didn't think you weren't, but I'm still glad). Regarding the failure of #agentfail, maybe these exercises should start focusing on the positive. #agentwin, #querywin, etc.

Almost missed racefail. Totally missed agentfail. How about Internetfail? I fall under that category - always wandering in late, drink in hand, looking slightly bewildered and going, "Wait...did something happen? Why is everyone grumpy?"

Sorry about all the vitriol spewed toward your profession. Publishing is a demanding industry for everyone involved. I think it's too easy for aspiring writers like myself to get blinded by our own struggle and fail to see everyone else's. Sometimes we look for an outside reason for why we haven't made it yet to avoid that epically scary question: "What if my stuff just isn't good enough?"
