States visited

This is more for my reference, than for anything else. 25 seen, 25 to go.

Just a reminder: If you'd like me to attend a conference and you're in one of the states I haven't visited... you have a better chance of me going! =) Yay for liking to travel and see everything!

Totally cool. I completely copied you and posted maps as well. It's fun knowing the %-ages.

I have 22 states to go. Perhaps we'll meet one day in Alabama. Heard that's a happening state :)

Afternoon, Jenny. I noticed there isn't a legend. Have you visited Missouri, then?

Hi, Jenny. Sorry if this gets posted twice, but the blog hasn't posted my original question.

Which are the states you've been to? There's no legend. :)

The red states are where I've been; the white states are where I have not been.

You must come visit Minnesota at some point then! It'd be great to have you. :)

You've never been to Illinois? Not even Chicago? Hmm, might need to change that somehow!

Just want to point out that you haven't been to Michigan yet, and we have a couple of great conventions, ConFusion and Penguicon.

Unfortunately, I can never find any conventions in Kansas...Oklahoma, Colorado and Missouri all seem to have them.

What counts as a visit? Driving through? Changing planes? Or do you actually have to stay the night? I ask because my percentage of states visited goes way up if driving through counts.

I'm not sure what counts either because my % would be much higher for driving through.

And while I haven't made it to PenguiCon yet, I can agree that ConFusion is a good time.

I have counted a state, if I have physically walked around in it and/or eaten a meal. For example, I have been to all of the Eastern seaboard due to going to Florida as a child with my family... by car! Children have small bladders. My brother was also prone to carsickness. I have been to the strangest places off of I-95, particularly in the South. Plus, stayed in hotels in many of the states.

The only state that I have not physically set foot outside of an airport for was Ohio. But because my stay in Cleveland was so hellishly long on the way to Wiscon, I am temporarily counting it. I will return to Ohio, someday.
